[updated] "conversations from both sides of the fence: is the role of experts by experience well defined?" @SteWeatherhead

Updated 12 March 2015:

11 March 2015:

A wee blog post as a reminder to a clinical psychologist who suggested we co-author a piece of writing.

I sent an Email to him 8 days ago with a proposed strapline, see above, and am still waiting for a response.

Here's what I said:

"We could discuss the fence, the barriers, them and us.  The role defining and if it really matters.  Who are the experts and what type of experience is required.  Why should the EBE stay within the role defined.  And why shouldn't the academic or practitioner be an EBE as well?

You're in England, I'm in Scotland.  There's a divide and a difference.  Culturally and mental health wise, in terms of health boards which here are autonomous, compared to England which is more collective, or under the one umbrella.  Or so I hear.

Let me know your thoughts and if the strapline could be a useful one to write to."
