[words said in a longer Email this morning sent to a fellow Scottish human rights campaigner and others, regarding Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in relation to the Mental Health (Scotland) Bill]
When are the human rights of ALL detained mental patients and their carers going to be protected and upheld?
are critical voices in Scotland's mental health world going to be given
equal respect and standing as those who tell Scottish Government paid
employees what they want to hear?
When are Scottish
Parliament elected members going to listen to the voices of people who
have been abused and silenced by the psychiatric system because they had
the misfortune to have experienced mental distress and to have expected
humane treatment just like any other health board patient?
